Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding rose quickly to the top with her electronic pop sound after capturing the attention of people by releasing "Starry Eyed" along with "Guns and Horses" in 2010. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack for writing engaging, but emotionally honest music, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap has a place at the cutting edge of modern mainstream music as well as artistic, non-conformist pop.Goulding was soon moving from blogs to print media, garnering praise from mainstream publications like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Polydor Records offered her a contract as an important label. She started to plan for her release.
